This volume profile formula program looks interesting. Is the method applicable to other markets, such as the crypto and forex markets, and does it include multi-frame analysis and the confluence of some other indicators with volume? I’ll definitely be checking this course out for new ideas. I don’t incorporate volume profile with my trading, just volume and volatility stabout:blank#blockedrength through some indicators available on trading view.  I’m assuming the indicators he uses are free on tradingview? I am going to read your explanation of volume profile so I can get a better idea of this topic. Thank you.

    • Matt Thomas says:

Profiling (both volume profile & market profile) can certainly be applied to all markets and timeframes (stocks, crypto, forex, futures, day trading, swing trading, position trading, etc.). These are extremely powerful tools for organizing and analyzing market behavior. But just like Aaron Korbs and most of the other top trading mentors that I Know (Josh Schuler, Merritt Black, Morad Askar, etc.), I believe that futures markets are simply superior to others in terms of regulation, transparency, liquidity, capital-efficiency, tax-friendliness, etc. So even though auction market theory and profiling are typically discussed within the context of futures trading, these concepts/tools absolutely apply to all markets.

To answer your question about confluence with other indicators, Aaron Korbs definitely uses volume profile as his main analysis tool. It’s a pillar of his methodology and there’s a lot more to it than one might think (with value areas, points of control, composite profiles, etc.). But he certainly uses a few other indicators as well, like volume weighted average price (VWAP) and several lower-timeframe order flow tools. Since the Volume Profile Formula course is an intro-level course, it goes over getting setup with volume profile on TradingView (which offers “fixed range volume profile” for free), but the other volume profile capabilities are only included with a paid subscription (session volume profile, auto-anchored volume profile, visible range volume profile, etc.). But in his top-tier Profile Method training & mentorship program for serious/committed students, he covers getting setup with a more professional charting platform – Sierra Chart. Every student has the option to choose whatever charting package they want, but Korbs shares his exact Sierra Chart setup. I personally use EdgeProX (which is essentially a white label version of MotiveWave) through Edge Clear. This isn’t to say that TradingView is bad, but it’s much more of a “retail” trading platform as opposed to “professional”.

I hope this response and the resources that I’ve linked to within it help answer all your questions. But if you have any follow-up questions about futures, volume profile, or Aaron Korbs and his courses/programs specifically – let me know.

I am so new to the whole trading world! Would you suggest I start with the Tradacc to learn more about what to do? Is there a free tutorial that is reliable as well?
Any help you can give a newbie that is also very nervous and skeptical about investing would be most appreciated. Thanks for the article, I learned a little, but I still feel a little confused.

    • Matt Thomas says:

Hi Stacie – I appreciate you reaching out.

There’s so much low-quality nonsense floating around out there in the “trading education” space. So I highly recommend starting with my free Trading Success Framework course (and also consider joining my free community of committed traders). No gimmicks here – this course is all about understanding what becoming a real/skilled/competent trader truly entails. What I’ve found is that this course deeply helps newbies understand if short-term trading is something they truly want to pursue (and this is very different from long-term investing, by the way). And after going through that foundational course, there are only a small handful of courses/programs that I think are well worth it in terms of developing legitimate market competence/skill and real edge. In my experience, the top 2 of those programs are Josh Schuler’s Profile Development Pathway at Trade With Profile and Aaron Korbs’ Profile Method at Tradacc. These programs are rooted in auction market theory and profiling – which I strongly believe is the absolute best way to view & analyze markets.

Before jumping into any of these paid programs, I recommend checking out these free resources to better understand what they have to offer. And if you have any additional follow-up questions, never hesitate to ask.

    Hi there,
The regular price of $197 looks quite lucrative deal to learn such a high profit formula like trading. Much more if deals as low as $47 is offered. Quote attractive pricing here. Profile Method is placed in a special category and I think one should try this only after gaining some experience elsewhere. What is your opinion on it? Volume Profile Formula seems to be worth a try. However, would like to hear few success stories here as well.

    Regards,Rohit

    • Matt Thomas says:

Hi Rohit – thanks for sharing your thoughts on Aaron Korbs’ Volume Profile Formula and Profile Method.

Volume Profile Formula is a cost-friendly option to start learning about futures, auction market theory, and profiling – but it’s just a beginner-level course. It doesn’t really dig into the specifics of Aaron Korbs’ methodology like the Profile Method program does. I view Volume Profile Formula almost like a low-cost trial for students to get a better idea of what trading with volume profile is all about. But it’s nowhere close to the full-blown Profile Method program. Not only does Profile Method offer superior lessons and resources, but it also includes live daily trading with Aaron Korbs (he streams his trading screen and talks through actual trades/potential trades), as well as Q&A sessions twice per week. You also get to be part of the exclusive Profile Method student group on Telegram where students share their premarket plans, aftermarket reviews, etc. Of course the lessons within the course itself are great, but this type of interaction, support, and repetition with variation is where the real learning takes place. You can check out my full review of the Profile Method program for more details on how I feel about it. But it’s easily one of the best training and mentorship programs for traders who are serious about turning their trading operations into a significant portion of their income. There are only a small handful of programs that I have in that group.

You can find a bunch of testimonials/success stories here on the Tradacc website, as well as here on TrustPilot.

  • Reggie says:

As some one that is interested in learning as much as I can about making money online I will check out Aaron Korbs’ program. I will be looking into his you tube channel right now. I can say I don’t know much about trading but I have looked into it. I honestly don’t know where to start and get over whelmed by it. I want to get into trading I just don’t know where to start and this might be the answer.

    • Matt Thomas says:

Hi Reggie – thanks for sharing your thoughts!

I’m a big fan of what Aaron Korbs has to offer – especially his top-tier training and mentorship program: Profile Method.

But if you’re a complete beginner and have no idea where to start, I highly suggest my free Trading Success Framework course in order to understand what becoming a consistently profitable trader truly entails. You can certainly browse Aaron Korbs’ free YouTube content or even purchase his introductory Volume Profile Formula course (since it’s relatively cheap). But I wouldn’t recommend diving too deep into purchasing trading courses/programs/services until you fully understand what it means to be a real/competent/skilled/self-sufficient trader. This free course can help you understand: 1) if trading is something you truly want to pursue, and 2) suggests/provides the best training and mentorship resources necessary to succeed. Overall, it lays the foundation for long-term, sustainable market success.
