What is Jason Bond Picks?
Jason Bond Picks is what’s known as a “stock trading newsletter”. Essentially, it’s a service that should ultimately make trading easier for the subscriber through tools like video lessons, watch lists, special reports, chat rooms, alerts, etc. Whether you’re a beginner looking to learn the basics or an expert looking for a community to share ideas with, Jason Bond Picks has the capacity to deliver.
Jason Bond launched Jason Bond Picks in 2011 after 10 years teaching in New York Public Schools, so his aptitude for education is sky-high. In fact, his passion and ability to teach is what sets his services apart from the rest. Over five years and a couple millionaire students later, he now runs a robust set of services with 4,000+ paying clients.
Breakdown of Service Offerings at Jason Bond Picks:
Day & Swing Trading
Day & Swing Trading is Jason Bond’s most popular service which appeals to the most active traders looking for profitable day and swing trade opportunities. The chat room is most valuable for the day traders, alerting each other on ideas throughout the day. There are multiple chat moderators available to assist, including Luke Murray, who many consider one of the best momentum day traders out there. As for the core swing trading strategy that Jason teaches, there is an expert video lesson library, daily watch lists, and real-time text & email alerts provided for supreme education and full transparency.
Long Term Trading
Long Term Trading was established in 2015 in order to appeal to busy professionals lacking the ability to monitor positions all day. Overall, the Day & Swing Trading opportunities were simply too fast-paced for them to follow, so Jason created this service with the intent of finding opportunities with more flexibility and less volatility. As opposed to the typical hold times of 1-4 days, the hold times here are weeks to months. Entries and exits are also much more flexible. The time horizon is longer term in nature, but don’t get this confused with a long-term, buy-and-hold investing strategy – the goal is not to hold positions for six months to a year or more.
Millionaire Roadmap
Millionaire Roadmap was also established in 2015 as demand for an all-access mentor service grew amongst Jason Bond Picks members. Due to the insistence of Jason’s most committed students, he launched an educationally intensive course for students to take their trading to the next level, in terms of both understanding and profitability. Some of the most critical aspects of the mentor service are a live stream of Jason’s ETrade account during market hours, conferences for the opportunity to meet him in person, and the “mastermind program” – which attempts to bring in various trading experts to teach their own effective strategies on a regular basis.
What Exactly Do Most Members Use Jason Bond Picks For?
1) Education:
The smartest members use Jason Bond Picks for educational purposes – the video lessons, webinars, watch lists, live trading sessions, special reports, conferences, and alerts are all opportunities to learn from expert traders who have captured millions of dollars in the markets. The ultimate goal of every member should be self-sufficiency.
2) Community:
The fact is, it’s impossible to track the entire market on your own on a daily basis. Opportunities will go unnoticed and profits will be missed. But with a community of thousands of traders, hundreds of which participate within the chat room each day, news and other ideas will be shared. On top of all that, trading can be a lonely undertaking, so having people to interact with is ideal.
3) Convenience:
In order to create the watch lists that each member receives on a daily/weekly basis (depending on which service you’re subscribed to), Jason Bond has to perform a lot of catalyst research and technical scanning in order to find the best trade setups. Not everybody is willing to perform such research on a routine basis, so Jason does the “dirty work” for you.
What Not to Use Jason Bond Picks For – Blindly Copying Alerts:
Many subscribers make the mistake of joining simply to mirror alerts, but that approach will most likely result in failure. Fast-paced strategies like day and swing trading are extremely hard to copy – and timing is everything. You don’t want to be caught chasing positions just because you received an email alert and then not have the wherewithal to exit the position quickly if it doesn’t go your way.

Every member should have an educational foundation in various trading concepts and a plan for each individual trade, whether the stock goes up or down. In the end, each member is in complete control of their own portfolio. Focusing on education results in the most success. Focusing on blindly mimicking Jason’s trades results in these JBP complaints.

Matt,
Thanks for clarifying that for me because I thought Jason’s Picks was some sort of MMO program.
I have a question for you that is not about this article but relevant to what it talks about. Have you heard of the Orion Code and if so is this something that I should consider using when it comes to trading and selling stocks?
Your response would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Jason
Hi Jason. I’m not sure what an MMO program is – could you explain?
The Orion Code is also not something I’ve heard of before, but it appears to be a binary trading software. Binary Options can involve stocks, but it’s much different than normal stock trading. These “exotic options” aren’t something that I personally partake in.
Greetings Matt,
I don’t know anything about trading, so this was quite interesting.
You mentioned the different services offered:
Day & Swing Trading
Long-Term Trading
Millionaire Roadmap
I understand the difference between the 3, but I am unclear as to which of these 3 services would be geared, towards people like myself, who would be considered “newbies”.
All the best,
Veronica
Hi Veronica – good question. I personally think that Day & Swing Trading is the best option for beginners. Not only is it the most cost-friendly, but it offers more educational video lessons/webinars/DVD’s (as opposed to Long Term Trading). Long Term Trading doesn’t offer as many video lessons, watch lists, alerts, etc. because it’s aimed toward busy professionals with limited availability. That being the case, Jason doesn’t want to disrespect subscribers’ time with email after email. It’s kind of a “bare bones” service for lack of a better term. For that reason, most people start with Day & Swing Trading for the educational materials, and then switch to Long Term Trading later on (only after they have a foundation in various concepts but find Day & Swing Trading too active for them).
Millionaire Roadmap is undoubtedly a great choice for beginners due to the focus on personal mentoring and intensive training, but the cost typically takes it out of the question. Before jumping straight into this mentor service, it’s probably best to test out what Jason Bond has to offer through his less expensive Day & Swing Trading and Long Term Trading services first. After a year or so of learning and building some momentum with their trading, a lot of members opt for the Millionaire Roadmap in order to take their skills and profits to the next level. Overall, Millionaire Roadmap includes everything you’d receive with the other 2 services and much more. Hope that helps – Cheers!
I noticed that you said every member should have an educational foundation on trading. So, is this something that a person that’s completely new to trading should avoid? Looks like they offer some very interesting programs, but I wouldn’t want to waste my time, or theirs, if the programs weren’t designed for NEW people,
Hi Noody – great question. I actually think that Jason Bond Picks is extremely beginner-friendly since Jason Bond is such a great teacher of his strategy. When I mentioned that every trader should have an educational foundation, I didn’t mean that the foundation was required before joining one of his programs – the educational materials Jason provides can certainly teach beginners a lot. The reason I said that is because some subscribers think they can simply join and then blindly mirror alerts, without learning even the most basic trading concepts. That type of “copycat” approach and avoidance of education is a recipe for disaster.
Overall, I’m not saying that Jason Bond Picks isn’t for beginners – that wouldn’t be true at all. What I’m saying is that subscribers should use the video lessons, webinars, live trading sessions, chat rooms, conferences, watch lists, special reports, and alerts to their advantage in order to educate themselves as much as possible before risking their real money. Preparation and education at the start goes a long way in everyone’s development as a trader. Take care!
