Who is Tim Grittani and What is Trading Tickers – For Those Who Don’t Know:
Tim Grittani is a day trading legend not just because of the massive success he has achieved within the stock market, but also for the way he carries himself on a day-to-day basis. His personality and temperament are a breath of fresh air in an industry full of frauds.
Tim’s not your typical guru on social media that brags about his massive wins, hides all of his losses, and acts like he’s the absolute best trader of all time – just so that he can sell a newsletter or alert service. He’s actually the opposite – completely humble, honest, and willing to share the details of his entire journey – both the good and the bad. He has absolutely no interest in ever running his own trading service. So Trading Tickers and Trading Tickers 2 are the only opportunities for an in-depth look at his personal methods.
When it comes to character, Tim Grittani is a prime example of what every trader and trading educator should be like. Every little detail and nuance of his trading process that he thinks is important, he shares within his courses. This is highly-valuable information that he wishes he had on day one of his own trading journey. The good news is that you have the amazing opportunity to understand and learn from all of his successes and failures throughout his decade-long trading career, and vastly shorten your own learning curve.
If Tim Grittani had to sum up his trading philosophy into one sentence, it would be this: Trade the Ticker, Not the Company.
How Exactly Did Tim Grittani Get Started Trading Penny Stocks?
I won’t go too far into Tim Grittani’s origin story, but I think it’s worth noting that he started out just like everybody else – a completely new and oblivious trader. He was a Finance major at Marquette University, but not deeply interested in the long-term nature of financial planning. Poker and sports betting were hobbies that were far more compelling to him. So when he came across an online advertisement for the Trading Challenge with Tim Sykes, he knew he found something far more stimulating than his current path.
Grittani didn’t end up joining the Trading Challenge, but the seed was planted. After seeing the advertisement from Tim Sykes, his desire to become a successful day trader was incredibly high. He ended up joining the Pennystocking Silver program instead and dug deep into studying the ins-and-outs of penny stock trading for months. Roughly a year after subscribing, he started pulling consistent profits out of the market. At this point in time, he has turned $1,500 into over $13,000,000 in trading profits – an astonishing feat.
Summarizing Tim Grittani’s story like this makes it seem like his entire trading journey has been easy. A walk in the park. He did about a year of hard studying and then started capturing millions without issue. Nothing to it, right? But the truth is that he’s had to overcome some major hurdles. At the start of his journey, for example, he blew up multiple small accounts. And along the way, he’s experienced some agonizing five and six-figure losses. But nothing ever devastating enough to knock him out. Longevity is the name of the game.

Pros and Cons of Trading Tickers:
The #1 complaint about Trading Tickers is that one of the main trading strategies from it – buying new OTC stock promotions – is outdated. Since the Trading Tickers release back in 2015, the OTC market has certainly cooled down and pretty much all penny stock promoters are gone or shut down. But that doesn’t make the entire course worthless. There are multiple other strategies shared.
In my personal opinion, I also think that there’s something to be said about learning the history of past strategies – whether they work or not in the current market environment. Because who knows if those conditions might return in the future to make that strategy relevant again. There might also be lessons you can take away from an outdated strategy to apply to one that currently works.
Overall, I think the positive aspects of Trading Tickers far outweigh the cons for individuals looking to become successful day traders.
What is in Trading Tickers 2 – An Updated Version of the Original Trading Tickers:
For those who are afraid that the original Trading Tickers is outdated, the release of Trading Tickers 2 in 2021 should settle those concerns. It’s essentially an updated version with several new strategies and tools. Grittani’s core methods haven’t changed much, but he’s constantly adapting to the current market environment and optimizing every aspect of his approach.
There’s a six-year gap between the release of the original Trading Tickers and Trading Tickers 2, so obviously some things have changed. Several staples of the new course are two new strategies – Reversal Longs and Afternoon Breakouts, a new “golden rule” for cutting losses, and a more advanced guide to spreadsheet tracking for strategy development and refinement.
Tim also has some new recommendations when it comes to scanners, software, services, and other tools. But overall, Trading Tickers 2 is yet another course full of high-level content – just like the original. It’s Tim Grittani’s personal blueprint for success.
Do You Have to Watch the Original Trader Tickers For Trading Tickers 2 to Be Useful?
If you’re wondering whether or not you have to go through the original Trading Tickers course in order to understand Trading Tickers 2, you’re not alone. This is easily the most commonly asked question about Trading Tickers 2 since it launched.
My personal opinion is that the original Trading Tickers certainly still offers value, but I don’t see it as a prerequisite to watching Trading Tickers 2. The new course shows Tim Grittani’s entire performance chart and covers all of the important updates from TT1 to TT2, so Trading Tickers 2 stands on its own just fine. Trading Tickers is a classic – there’s no doubt about it, which makes it hard not to have a strong emotional attachment to it. But Trading Tickers 2 is definitely a better version of the original.
I’ve always maintained that Trading Tickers was the best overall course available on the Profit.ly platform, but Trading Tickers 2 has now overtaken it in my opinion. Out of all the individual trading courses I’ve gone through, TT2 offers the most value for day traders.
5 Important Lessons Learned From the Success of Tim Grittani and His Trading Tickers Courses:
Whether or not you decide to buy Tim Grittani’s Trading Tickers or Trading Tickers 2 courses, there are 5 important lessons that I want you to take away from reading this review:
- Trading Success is Not About Trying to Chase Alerts Sent Out By Some Guru. You Have to Trade Your Own Setups and Rules.
- Trading is Both a Statistical and Mental Game. This is Why Tracking Trade Data and Building the Proper Mindset Are So Critical.
- Don’t Hide From Losses, Embrace Them. The Most Valuable Lessons You Can Learn Come From Your Failures, Not Successes.
- Start Small and Understand That You Will Make Many Mistakes at the Beginning. Starting Small Allows For Recoverable Losses.
- Focus on Process Over Profits. Bad Habits Form When You Concentrate Too Much on Results Over Mindset and Methods.
One of the biggest advantages of a course like Trading Tickers or Trading Tickers 2 is the opportunity to look into the mind of a multi-millionaire trader. Far too many people just want to be spoon-fed hot picks and try to blindly mirror-trade their way to success, but that copy-cat approach simply never works. It sounds great in theory, but it’s completely ineffective in practice. A high-quality course created by someone like Tim Grittani, however, teaches you the “why” and “how” behind trades so that you can become self-sufficient.

Conclusion – Is Trading Tickers 2 the Best Premium Day Trading Course Available Online?
There’s no doubt that Tim Grittani is one of the most respected role models in the trading industry. Given his massive success, his humility is off the charts. He never brags about his individual wins and barely celebrates his huge profit milestones. In fact, he’s far more concerned about his losses. In an industry full of pretenders, he’s real about his own failures and willing to learn from them.
His overall character is what I think makes his courses so genuinely helpful for thousands of traders. He’s never been in a rush to even create his Trading Tickers and Trading Tickers 2 courses because he always wanted to be sure that the value would be significant enough for those who buy it. Unfortunately, this is rare within the financial space, but Tim Grittani is an authentically nice guy.
In my personal experiences with many premium day trading courses, I will say that Trading Tickers 2 is one of my favorites. I certainly haven’t come close to going through every single one available online since that would be an impossible undertaking. But the number I’ve been through is definitely in the double digits. And what stands out is Tim’s decade-long track record of consistent success, his honesty in all phases of his trading process, and his willingness to share his tactics with those interested in learning.
To be a great trader, you must be a student for life: constantly learning new material and adapting to the current market environment.
