Update: Steve LeBlanc is No Longer the Head Trader at Penny Pro:
For months now, Steve LeBlanc has been the head trader at Top Stock Picks, while Jeff Williams has taken over the head trader position at Penny Pro. It used to be the opposite, however, I speculate that Jeff Williams’ propensity for trading penny stocks, and sometimes even sub-penny stocks, lined up better under the “Penny Pro” name. Steve LeBlanc on the other hand, tends to capitalize on opportunities in stocks ranging anywhere from $1-30, lining up better under the “Top Stock Picks” name.
Both Steve LeBlanc and Jeff Williams are business partners, offering content on both sites, which made the transition rather seamless. Many members have taken advantage of “combo deals”, which grants them access to both Steve Leblanc’s service – Top Stock Picks, as well as Jeff Williams’ service – Penny Pro, for one low price.
The Difference Between Penny Pro and Top Stock Picks:
As stated above, Jeff Williams runs the Penny Pro platform. The focus is on penny stocks and sub-penny stocks from $.001-$5. Most of the action (education and trading) takes place within the day trading chat room, but swing trade alerts are sent out a few times per month as well. The video library is extensive, providing lessons on many basic, intermediate, and even expert concepts. Watch lists are provided a few times per week as well.
Top Stock Picks: [Read Detailed Top Stock Picks Review. Head Trader: Steve LeBlanc]
Steve LeBlanc runs the show at Top Stock Picks. There is no chat room provided (unless you have the TSP/PP combo) and the focus is on swing trades. Recently, he’s been pursuing more ETF/ETN plays due to the increased liquidity. Similar to Penny Pro, the video library is extensive and provides many of the same lessons, webinars, and live trade updates from both Steve and Jeff. Detailed daily watch lists and real-time trade alerts are staples as well.
Which One is For You: Penny Pro or Top Stock Picks?
The ideal service for you depends on a number of factors, such as your trading preferences and availability during market hours. If you prefer to trade lower-priced stocks and have the availability to interact in a chat room during market hours, then Penny Pro might be a better fit. But if you prefer to trade higher-priced stocks with ample liquidity at a bit slower of a pace, then Top Stock Picks might be a better fit. There is of course some overlap between video lessons and even the tickers traded, but they both provide a unique value depending on what you’re looking for.
